Far Out Farms is a small, family friendly barn located just outside of Westfield, WI specializing in beginner and confidence building lessons and training with MJC Horsemanship. We believe that the horse comes first, and strive to develop a partnership first. Our program has limited spots available to keep it drama free and allow us to give each horse the attention they deserve. Every horse that steps foot onto Far Out Farm is treated as we would our own, so you know your best friend will be taken care of!

Beginner

1 hour- $40

1/2 hour Kids- $20

Intermediate-Advanced

1 Hour- $40

Trail Ride- $60

(Up to 2 hours, only available to regular

students at trainer discrestion)

31-60 miles- $10

Lesson FAQS

Question: What do lessons include?

Answer: We teach a little bit of everything! This means we work from the ground up, not every lesson will include riding. Groundwork is vital, as well as basic husbandry. So, when you come for a lesson, expect to learn more than just what to do while mounted!

Question: Do I need a helmet?

Answer: Anyone under 18 is required to

wear a helmet, if you are over the age of

18 a helmet is welcome, but not required

and there is a spot on our liability release

to acknowledge you have declined a helmet

Question: I am a heavier rider, can you

accommodate me?

Answer: Do not be afraid to ask! As a

heavier rider myself, we do have capable horses

,however it will be determined on a meet and

greet and case by case basis.

There may be a possibility for driving as well!

Here at MJC Horsemanship, we offer consignment services as well.

Let us put a refresh on that horse, market it, and vet potential buyers. We have a couple different packages available!

Meet Your Trainer

Hi! My name is Addie and I am proud to offer my services in confidence building and getting you started on your horse loving journey. I have about 10 years of background in the equine world. I got my start at a non-profit working with kids and adults who needed a little more help regulating. Horses are a wonderful way to allow that to happen. From there, I worked with a few different trainers and learned a little bit about a lot. I have dabbled in barrel racing, jumping and am looking to get education in dressage and driving soon. My main focus has been trail riding and connection work.

I also know very well what it is like to lose your confidence and not know if you will get it back or not, so we have developed a toolbox to work to help our students chase their dreams! That is my favorite thing to see.

For the last few years, the main trainer we follow is Warwick Schiller. If you haven’t heard of him, I urge you to head over to youtube and check him out. This style of horsemanship focus first and foremost on having a connection with your horse, and listening to what they are trying to tell you.
